Join us at Summer Showtime in 2026!

Ready to start the new year with a thrilling musical adventure? Join us for a four day, show-stopping theatrical journey this January!

After the amazing success of our sold-out programs in 2024, and 2025, we’re delighted to announce that ASPA Ed’s Summer Showtime Music Theatre Program is returning in January 2026! This program is available to all enthusiastic young performers in Adelaide, Brisbane, Melbourne, Sydney, and Perth. In just four days, our experienced team of performing arts specialists will work with our participants to bring a musical to life in a stunning performance!

“The engaging theme, well-structured activities, and supportive atmosphere made it a truly special experience for my daughter. She came home excited each day, eager to share what she had learned and practiced. The program exceeded our expectations, and we would love to be part of it again in the future.” Saru, SA Parent

Our participants in Melbourne and Sydney will get into the groovy rhythm of The Jungle Book KIDS while those in Adelaide, Brisbane, and Perth will dive into the underwater world of Finding Nemo KIDS. Your child will develop their performing arts skills through daily rehearsals, which include the trademark high-energy and teamwork of our much loved ASPA Ed holiday program workshops.

With a whirlwind of creativity packed into a four-day experience, we know you’ll have plenty of questions. Read on to discover more about the joyous land of The Jungle Book KIDS and our journey under the sea in Finding Nemo KIDS.

Introducing the shows –

The Jungle Books KIDS

The jungle is jumpin’ with jazz! Adapted from Disney’s classic animated film, The Jungle Book KIDS features a host of colourful characters and your favourite songs from the movie.

Banished by the ferocious tiger, Shere Khan, a human child named Mowgli and their panther friend, Bagheera, are on the run in the deepest parts of the jungle. On their journey, they meet the sinister snake Kaa, a cheerful bear named Baloo, and the lively inhabitants of the jungle! While learning the swingin’ rhythms and ‘Bare Necessities’, Mowgli and Bagheera rally their fellow animals to restore peace throughout the jungle.

Celebrating family, nature’s beauty, and embracing one’s true identity, The Jungle Book KIDS will fill your heart with adventure and joy.

Finding Nemo KIDS

Explore the ‘big blue’ with this musical adaption of the beloved Pixar movie Finding Nemo. With catchy songs by the composers of Frozen, dynamic choreography and heartfelt moments, Finding Nemo KIDS reminds us that love can conquer any wave!

Marlin, an over-protective clownfish, lives in the Great Barrier Reef with his kid Nemo, who longs to explore the world beyond their anemone home. But when Nemo is captured and taken to Sydney, Marlin faces his fears and sets off on an epic adventure across the ocean. With the help of lovable characters such as optimistic Dory, laid-back sea turtle Crush, and the supportive Tank Gang, Marlin and Nemo both overcome challenges on their journey to find each other and themselves.

Finding Nemo KIDS brings a vibrant underwater world to life on stage in a story full of family, friendship, and adventure.

‘Finding Nemo KIDS is a poignant and hilarious adventure, with all the highlights of the movie combined with catchy songs, you won’t get out of your head!’ Claire, ASPA Ed Instructor

Who can join Summer Showtime?

Our Summer Showtime Music Theatre Program is open to all children in Grade Three to Seven for The Jungle Book KIDS, and Grade Two to Seven for Finding Nemo KIDS – everyone can join the adventure!

For our younger budding performers, we also offer two-day and three-day holiday programs with themed workshops, activities, and a special showcase to perform for family and friends.

This is my daughter’s second time and she loves it, she’s already looking forward to the next one.” Frida, NSW Parent

Do participants need to have any musical experience?

Summer Showtime is a perfect starting point for anyone wishing to get involved in the performing arts! There is no prior experience necessary and the emphasis on ensemble work creates a safe and inclusive space for all participants to grow and work towards a goal!

“Ensemble work is a safe space to start exploring your personality, skills and to start making friends” – Laura, ASPA Ed Instructor

Will there be an audition?

To make this Holiday Program a fun and inclusive experience, participants will not be required to audition for the show. Instead, on the first day of the program participants will take part in an informal workshop where our experienced ASPA Ed instructors will facilitate games and activities to determine the performance skills within the group and allocate roles. Participants will also have the opportunity to sing by themselves if they wish to.

Whether it be two, three or four days, participants leave the program feeling accomplished and energised, all while having fun on their school holidays. They will learn important skills from experts, increase their confidence in singing and movement all while having fun with their new friends. Our Junior participants will also learn dance routines and songs as well as join in on team-building and craft activities.

“The program provided a fantastic platform for her to develop confidence, enhance her performance skills, and make new friends. The instructors were professional, supportive, and inspiring, ensuring a fun and enriching experience for all the participants.” Saru, SA parent.
