After ten weeks of dance workshops with ASPA, twenty couples aged 16 to 25 took part in the Debutante Ball for young people in care. This wonderful event was hosted by Centre for Excellence in Child and Family Welfare at The Melbourne Town Hall.
This was the fifth time the bi-annual ball has been held and the Centre for Excellence in Child and Family Welfare CEO Deb Tsorbaris said it was “a symbol of the growth, aspirations and spirit of the young people in care,”.
After the success of this year’s ball, the Centre for Excellence are now considering making it an annual event and we look forward to being involved again in 2018.
