After ten weeks of dance workshops with ASPA, twenty couples aged 16 to 25 took part in the Debutante Ball for young people in care. AGC – Channel 7 Perth Telethon

Our Perth Performing choristers were honoured to perform at the Channel 7 Telethon on Sunday October 22. The Telethon is celebrating its 50th birthday this year, having raised more than $231 million since 1968. The Telethon event runs over 22 hours and involves some of Channel 7’s biggest names, including stars from Home and Away, My Kitchen Rules, 800 Words and more. ASPA has been proud to deliver performing arts programs for participants at AMES since 2011 and we are delighted to be working with students at their Noble Park location in Term 4. Congratulations to the 460 young performers who recently took part in our ‘Take the Stage’ Performing Arts Holiday Programs. Over two days participants took part in dynamic song, dance and drama workshops and worked together to develop an end of program showcase concert for friends and family. Our next ‘Take the Stage’ programs will run during the July 2018 school holidays.

We are thrilled to be back in the Western Deanery of the Sandhurst Diocese in Term 4 to deliver our choral arts program to year 5 and 6 students for our 9th year. Teachers from the 16 schools took part in a wonderful Professional Development day at the end of Term 3 and covered a range of content including vocal and physical warm ups, vocal health and performance repertoire.
